Quote: CVPost-jon f mn (quoted from post at 21:41:50 01/12/23) The case VAC or later 300, 400, 500 or
even the 30 series of that size would fit
the bill. The vac will have a top speed of
around 13 or 14,but the others are faster
and if you get one with triple range they
go over 20 mph. A decent running and
looking vac will start at 6 or 700 and a
the others will range from that up to
around $5000 for aa nice 530 diesel com.
I ran an early Case 930 some and still remember the hydraulics slamming my knuckles into the fender!
My searches for Case tractors in general hasn't turned up anything reasonable in terms of general condition.
I have searched for a Case 530 off and on without any success. If I could find a "Wheatland Special" in reasonable condition, I wouldn't have any issues going that direction.
For whatever reason, the W-4 series seem to be much more available so, that has been the focus of a lot of my searches. I guess Case getting bought and merged for whatever reason killed off the support of the later generation tractors generally.
