Had a guilt have her litter of pigs last night. She looked huge before so I expected a lot.
But I didn't expect this many, especially for her first litter.
She actually had 19, 3 were born dead and another must have gotten laid on last night, so she has 15 left right now. I woul have preferred 12 or 13 so she had enough teats to feed them, she has 14. But I'm very pleased. The last 2 only had 6 and 1 and I was no pleased by that. So maybe this will be a turning point. I have another coming in a few weeks and she looks like she has a large litter as well, although not as big as this one. And she has 16 teat so she could feed more.
This guilt will go to butcher after she is done feeding these I think, the boar damaged her rear leg while breeding her and she has trouble getting around. That is sad since she had so many pigs. I will see how she does tho.
