Quality Farm and Fleet and Central Tractor decided to merger. Quality did not take over Central, was a merger. And corperate decided to get rid of the best parts of both stores and decided to keep the worst parts. Poor management was their downfall. I knew months before the general population knew anything about what was going to happen. Late wife was in management at Central so She did get a lot of information the general public never did get. After destroying both companys with poor management desisions the company had to file bankruptcy but before that happened the owners of Central parts split off their used parts bussibess so it was not a part of the bankruptcy. So it was safe for a while. I do not know if it is still in operation or not. When it cot to the bankrupcy court that is where everything fell apart. The orignal owners of Central tractor tried to buy it back out of the bankruptcy but could only come up a few thousand dollars short of what TSC offered anf the judge decided those few creditors was worth more than the jobs of all emplowes and the value to the customers were worth so the Judge sold it to TSC. My late Wife was in manergy training for Central when they merged and had not yet got the final papoer work done to become a full manager and she was to be asigned a manager position that would have ment we would have been moving from my farm here in Ohio to Georgia. Lucky for us that final paper work had not been completed. The CT store she was second in management was 47 mile from so when things got worse she was able to transfer to Q & F that was 8 mile from home.. She new what was comming so she had got an aplication from Lowes and filled it out but had not turned it in as it looked at that tile like CT and Q & F might survive. When things got close and the other employes had no idea they were about to loose their jobs she got out that aplication and just changed the date on it and turned it in. Within too days She was working For Lowes in a department manager position and was with Lowes for 15 years untill She passed away from a heart atack in March of 2015. So I do know more of what went on than the general public will ever know. The bankruptcy court is why we no longer have a CT or Q & F.Not market conditions. In Her training position she was sent to Georga to help hire employs for some new stores they were getting ready to open but neve did.

Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on
