When I got my 5020, it never had a turbo, and had been used by its owner and the first owner with cast duals, 4 big 600 pounds deere wheel weights , and was full of fluid on all the 20.8 38 tires...
So if it was underpowered, I would believe the owner would have done something during their 30 years using it to reduce weight. That tractor is a 1970, with 141HP, and is clearly 40 to 50% more powerful than my late 4020.
I love those big tractors. I also have a 4620 with fuel pump.set like an early 7020 (148hp). Not as torquey as the 5020, but very powerful. The powershift compensates very wheel the lack of torque under 1400rpm.
