Genetically altered corn? Thats laughable. As has been said below it has been going on and will continue. A century ago the locals were supplying whiskey called Minnesota 13. That name was derived from the brewers favorite hybrid developed at The UofM. That was their 13th hybrid which was vastly altered from what the Chippewa were planting here when Fr. Pierz came to the area. It was desired because of its abundant yield. As well do a search on how The UofM has done with apples over the last century. Its a sorry case of misunderstanding.
