A couple thoughts, As far as plowing competitions, they are few and far between where I live. I went to my first one ever (as a spectator) last summer and was surprised at how technical those guys were. It looked fun but would take a lot of practice to match the skills I saw. Tractors and plows were dialed in within fractions of an inch. As far as plow days - they too are far and few between. Most farmers around here don't want their field turned over with a mold board plow. If you are in the gov't program, big brother is watching and if you don't leave enough residue on your field, you are subject to fines. I would like to attend plow days if not too far away but www searches turn up nothing within driving distance. I have a handful of tractors and plows that need to be worked but nowhere to go. It's been 45 years since I did any amount of plowing so I'm ready to give it a go again.
