I have no desire to compete, but I do have a desire to learn to do a better job of it than I have so far. I have a JD 4b 2/14 to pull with my As and B, and I would like to gain knowledge and experience.
No such thing as a plow day or competition hereabouts. No clubs, no events. There are a few antique pulls left, but I don't want to do that. I want to know how to produce a good seedbed for my garden.
I don't have a trailer, so any event I go to would have to be close. There used to be shows nearby, but no more. There is a pair of very active FFA groups, but they are not only insular (by design), they are, of course, devoted to other sorts of practices.
So I will continue to read, watch videos, and do what old-timers would think a bad job of it as I slowly improve (I hope).
