Worthington and Toro were separate company's. Worthington started building Ford model T based mowing tractors in the 1920's, then moved on to using Model A's, then Model Bs. In the late 30s, Worthington started using Dodge truck parts to build the Model C Chief. Jacobson acquired Worthington in the 1940s but kept the Worthington name on the tractors until the 60s. They continued building mowing tractors using the Ford 8N, then the Jubilee/hundred series tractors. They also built a Continental Red Seal tractor.
