The last thing you want to do is put in something that doesn't belong in the system and screw up a $2-3,000 rack and pinion steering gear or other components. You have a pump with a remote reservoir, so you don't have to take the reservoir off the pump and replace a filter. You don't have a hydro boost system so your steering has nothing to do with your brakes, other than through the electronic stability control system. And that is an electronic connection, not a fluid connection. I would not put any kind of conditioner or anything in that system. It does not use regular ps fluid or trans fluid. I can say that I haven't had a lot of success with aftermarket reman ps pumps on most import vehicles. You seem to have gotten a good one as it has lasted 2 years so far. The filter on your system is part of the reservoir. I'd try the repair kit with the correct Pentosin fluid from IPD for eighty some bucks or from whatever supplier you prefer and hopefully save your $$$$$rack and pinion. Just my $.02.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
