Yes you are correct. His son Edsel ran the company at or around the time the Edsel was built....may have been the CEO at the time and his idea...I forget....reference: Wheels for the World, by Douglas Brinkley......a really good read if you have any interest in the Ford dynasty.......if you are interested, the B-24 operation at Willow Run is described in detail.....raw materials in one end of the building and a finished B-24, like one per hour as I recall, out the other end and off to the runway he used for final testing and delivery. No doubt the EPA would have had a field day writing tickets for that operation one would suppose had it existed.....he setup a community for his employees as WR was distant from the nearest town.......probably full of immigrants coming to America for a new life......legally!

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
