My internet research suggests that LS has made tractors for a number of other companies.
The predecessor to the K5055 was the K4047 which was rebadged as the Case 50B and New Holland Boomer 50 (with a Case/New Holland loader added.
I've never seen many negative comments about the operation of the LS tractors, but have seen quite a few comments about lack of dealers to support the tractors and low resale value. I've considered looking at new LS tractors, but the only dealers within a hundred miles seem to be lawn equipment dealers that advertise themselves as LS dealers, but don't seem to actually stock any LS tractors or advertise that they work on anything bigger than lawn tractors.
