I bought my Ford Jubilee back in 2003 and has been a good little tractor to mow & move snow. Hard to find time to tear too deep into it because of full time work & not wanting it to be out of commission for too long. Finally broke down & fixing a few items that need attention. The power steering has me stumped and hope one of you guys could help me out. It has power steering that was added to it somewhere in its past life. It seems to work fine, but leaks I'm assuming around the top shaft seal. Oil comes out around the top of the steering valve. Previous owner welded around steering column (I'm assuming to stop leak, but still leaking). Oil is coming out around the weld, but only way oil would be in this area would be from a bad seal I think. So I had to grind it off and found the knuckles between the steering valve & steering shaft had some welding done to them. I need to get the knuckles off to fix the seal, but was not having luck driving them out from either direction. I also tried driving the pin out on the bottom knuckle that goes into the steering box with no luck there either. I am struggling finding anything online or calling a few places. I feel if I get the pins out successfully, I can get the seals out & find replacements (I hope). Would like to get new knuckles if possible, but feeling like that may be like finding a needle in a haystack. Have a few pics to help show what I'm trying to figure out. Anyone have any good suggestions or know anything about this set up?? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
