The knob under the seat is not a seat adjustment. It is to control the speed the rear lift/three point hitch arms lower. Turn counterclockwise for a faster lowering, clockwise for slower lowering. Turned fully clockwise until the knob stops, will lock the lift from lowering.
Operator's Manuals tell you about the controls, how to operate the tractor, and give maintenance and adjustment information normally handled by an operator/owner. If you want help getting the proper manuals on that site, there is a phone number near the top right of the page you can call, and a person will assist you in getting the right manuals. Have the tractor serial number at hand in case they ask for it.
