So lets make it up: The rancher (that's definitely sagebrush cow ground) was pulling the hay wagon in the snow, trying to feed cows. He blew the front tire on an iron stob, but still had to spread hay, so he drove it till the tire fell off. He got done with hay and left the wagon on the tractor, walked back to the hay shed, and drove the pickup back to the barn for the spare he had in the junk pile. When he got back to the tractor the next day, to fix the front, the same piece of iron had also punctured the rear, and it was now flat. He hooked the wagon up to the pickup, fed cows using the pickup through the winter, and by spring the engine was froze up from condensation. He figured to fix both tires and keep at it, but once it wouldn't start, it was all she wrote.
