Being "fat and happy" isn't a guarantee that you'll drop dead mid-step and not end up in a nursing home. Nowadays they have ways to treat heart attacks and strokes that were often fatal decades ago. They're just debilitating, not deadly, so you end up in a home.
I'm just loving "I won the genetics lottery, and I don't have any health problems so you shouldn't either, and they got some things wrong 70+ years ago so all modern medicine is invalid, and if I haven't heard of it it doesn't exist."
