Hi new to this site,
having a problem with the top radiator hose getting warm and bottom hose being cold, check temp with infrared thermometer top of radiator is 145 degrees F and bottom 56. degrees F.
Engine was rebuilt about 50 hours ago, new water pump, new 180 degree thermostat. radiator was flushed.
Engine takes about a hour to reach 180 but seems to be not much circulation going on, I took out the thermostat put it in hot water on the stove at 180 and it opens around 185. but the engine isnt reachine 185.
I checked the system without the thermost in and the anti freeze is circulation and can feel the bottom hose the same temp as the top. luke warm.
Not sure if im being paranoid about overheating the engine, just dont want to cook it.
