On the subject of old seeds, my neighbors' mothers found some seeds that she had kept from tomatoes that they always reseeded every year. The last time she grew tomatoes was in 1988 the year her husband died. A few years ago she found the seed and they grew perfect, now we keep the seed every year also. She says the tomatoes taste just like the ones her husband grew. ( btw she is 92 and going strong. she still cans green beans we give her)
