It was pretty dry in the fall and i think a lot of this moisture from the snow will soak in before filling up the sloughs.
On the dust mask subject, yes if there is much dust I usually wear a mask but on this job there was not enough to worry about. Grain dust used to bother my breathing a lot more back when I had to get in a bin and shovel but most of the time now it is cleaned up by grain vac which eliminates the dust.
