So it's on the connecting gusset, I thought it was the frame rail. So yours looks like a 1944 (see the link below), I remember hooking up with somebody from the collectors club. If you study the serial number sequence it makes some sort of sense, the A means nothing other than a model I think (not sure) but there was some kind of a correction in 1944 where the numbering started again I think. You definitely have an Avery model A I would say. Neat tractors, you won't find a whole lot of them in Alberta for sure. More maybe in BC and Ontario for sure. Keep everyone posted on your progress.
