we'd like to save the barn. right now its worth saving. county doesn't have it listed very high and i can maybe get them to drop the value since its obsolete for use. they still have the silo listed and i need to get that taken off as well. it didn't even have an unloader, grandpa thru all the silage down for 70 years or so. surprised he didn't put one in but they would have had to repower the barn (should have anyway)
if i can get someone to buy the slate or at least remove it from the barn for free (they keep the slate as payment) i could save $ not paying another roofer to remove them first. I imagine it would take forever to take them off with any care in keeping them intact and then lowering 50ft to the ground safely. might cost as much as the new roof.
I also found another company that all they do is slate so i may call them as well and the ones mentioned below if i can find them.
