My choice would be a '53 GMC that I did a total nut and bolt restoration on. I then drove it across Canada and back, then to Guatemala and back. Did not have one problem. I then bought my farm (1/4 section in a mountainous area), but feared my truck would suffer due to the 13 mi. gravel road. Sadly sold it to a guy who more or less repeated my adventures. Ran into it parked on a residential street in Vancouver years later, found the owner - it now had 300,00- miles on it. I offered to buy it back - no go.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
