Now that you bounced it around a bit you are likely experiencing lack of adequate flow of gas to your carburetor. You have stirred up the crud in the tank and now it made its way out. Open the carb drain, after about 5 seconds does it continue to run in a continuous stream? Should flow a pint in 3 minutes. If it is less than that check the sediment bowl below the tank, there is a screen in the top of it. Something may have floated into the exit point inside the tank. Look in side with a good flashlight to check that out There may also be a small fine screen inside the carb attached to the fitting screwed in the carb that the fuel line connects to. If the engine slowed down or stopped due to a lack of oil or oil pressure you have done quite a bit of damage to your engine bearings. So I seriously doubt this has happened. Smoke rising out of a breather on an engine that has been working hard and then shut down is normal. Especially if the breather is on the upper side of the engine as I think it is on those Fords.
