If you don't have the correct John Deere service manual for your tractor, I suggest you get one before going deeper into it. You may need the serial number to get the right one.
Perkins 3.152 kits are for Perkins engines, John Deere kits 3-152, or 3152, kits are for John Deere 3-152 engines. The kits are not interchangeable. A web search for John Deere 3-152 short block will get you hits for the JD engines. The same for parts for them. Specify John Deere 3-152 engine in your search, (not just 3.152 which is the common way the Perkins engine designation is printed).
Below is a link to the John Deere 300 Industrial loader tractor parts catalog. You can use it to get JD part numbers and use those part numbers in your web searches. (The loaders and backhoes used on the 300 tractors had their own parts catalogs, separate from the tractor parts catalog, those are not in the tractor catalog.)
Upload one or more videos to your post. Photo and video filesizes should be less than 8MB. Formats allowed are gif, jpg, png, ogg, mp4, mov, and avi. Be sure to use filenames without spaces or special characters, and filetypes of 3 digits lower case.
