Well for me i deal with one guy and i have since 1978 . and i can tell you NOBODY can beat his prices . Plus when no o0ne can get a tire Jimmy has always come thru . been a while back now but when the local Antique tractor pullers (The cry baby's wanted 16.9x38 ) everyone was buying them . Was not long before one could not find a set anywhere at any price . So if you wanted to go play and be somewhat competitive one needed to steep up . i was hearing guys payen well over 700 buck a tire . I called jimmy and he said give me a day and i will see what i can come up with . well before the day was out Jimmy called me back and said hey i got you two FIRESTONE Super all trac. coming tomorrow for 225 each including tubes in 6 Ply that ok . I needed tires for the War Dept.'s Durango those are hard to come by . Seen prices on them upwards of 250 a tire Jimmy's prices mounted balanced 94 a tire . My service truck tires a 235x85x16 10 ply traction 85 bucks and these are NOT made in China . Yep it's a drive for me down to Jimmy's but i will make that drive . He and i started dealing way back just before Christmas of 78 when i needed tires on my truck i plowed snow with and one could not find a 12 .5x33x16.5 anywhere . He was the last i called and he said come on down . It was after five Pm. when i got there and he waited on me . a rinkey dink tire shop out in the middle of nowhere in a major snow storm working outside and he had what i needed and i was shocked at the CHEAP price plus he put radials on for half what others wanted for a bias . He told me to try them and if i did not like them he would put bias back on at NO charge . Like i said this was a major snow storm and i had a 20 mile drive back to the house i was totally impressed on how well the radials would dig . And his price on them was far less then bias . Nah i don't go chasen the internet for tire.s , i make a call give him a day and now make the 35 mile drive . For tractor tires he will send one of his lot dogs up and install them .
