The slots are factory.
Deere engineers did not want the pushing force on the bucket to pull there, but to push on the trumpets housings.
To remove the engine, you need to put jacks under the loader mounts right under the engine (with loader raised and BLOCKED (like you have it), or removed), and under the clutch housing, then you remove front axle, then you remove engine.
You cannot slide the engine + loader + front axle forward, as a unit, because, the front mount is a pivot. You would have to hold it all together: Painful and difficult. That would be like removing the loader masts. The loader masts at the rear are hold with big bolts, and are some work to remove. This would be very time consuming, with unecessary hydraulic fluids loss and risks of dirt in there.
