So back in the 60s there were some tests done on using alcohol in farm tractors and I remembered reading it because they used a Ford 2000 and we have one of those. Fuel efficiency is reduced by 20 percent on that particular tractor with what would now be called e100. So e10 being 90 percent gasoline would be around a 5 percent drop at the most depending on how its actually blended. If you ever get to reading the label right off the pumps on the e85 and e15 they give a percentage range. In the summer its higher ethanol in the winter more gas in the case of e85 its like 52 percent to 93. Stands to reason as diesel vehicle operators would know. So I have a gas tank for the jd all fuel B that mows the lawn. I fill up my 50 gallons for the better part of the summer on the coldest day of the year in February when it is like -20. I fill one winter fuel with e10. What percentage did I get of e85? Heck if I know but I bet its higher gasoline than august-September and its worked for me well. As long as you use it up and stay away from plastic fuel tanks should be fine. Around here its 1.80 less a gallon
