You may get a better response on the John Deere topic section. I am fairly certain there are two pumps. One in the transmission pumps lube oil for the transmission but also pumps it up to a reservoir above the main hydraulic pump up front under the radiator and fuel tank. Only thing I can tell you for certain is to find a way to view the actual shaft going in the front hydraulic pump to see if it is turning. Not the drive mechanism connecting to the front engine pulley but the actual stub shaft that comes out of the hydraulic pump. It is keyed to the drive coupler and can strip.
