Normally the belts have the rubber side out. Depending on how old the belts are they may look inside out. I just changed the set on the back of the door this week with new ones. I got to get 4 more this summer. I want to have them on hand if I have to change them after first cutting. One is pretty bad on one side. I have also changed some of the bearings on it. Will be changing a couple more this week. This is on a 484 4x4 bales. Keep your belts tighten according to spec and keep them running in the middle not against one side or the other. I check my bearings during the day while baling for heat hot bearings are usually bad ones. Dealer ia about the cheapest for the hex holed bearings. Though I do have some coming from the Deere dealer for about a 1/3 or so less than the agco dealer is. IH agco and NI used to all have them available since the IH balrers were just rebadged NI balers in some models.
