Every one I've seen is pretty much the same mechanical design. As with just about everything, the more expensive ones are built with heavier materials. Make sure gearbox is heavy enough to match up with your tractor. Also stick with brand you are confident you will be able to get parts for. The cutting tips will wear out and not all of them are the same so you will need to be able to order brand specific replacements. That's my limited experience. Also...the more you're planning on using it, the better quality you should buy. I know this is pretty basic, but these machines are pretty basic as well.
