I have an 18 volt Ryobi unit. By swapping wheels, I use it for everything, grinding welds, cutting sheet metal, wire wheeling rust, etc. I wouldn't be without it.
As far as cordless tools in general go, I have quite a variety of Ryobi units that all take the same battery. When I built a new deck on the front of our house three years ago, all I used was a cordless circular saw. It would go through a normal day on one battery.
