I couldn't disagree more, but how you plan for old age is different for everyone. I am in very good shape (70), fortunately, and walk 5 miles a day for exercise. Hate the walk but like the results. Retire at 58 and never considered a job since. Love golf, hunting, fishing, camping and still enjoy a good tractor show or road trip to a National Park. Live in MI and went to FL for 3 months in the winter until I tired of it 2 years ago (wife never really did enjoy it). Enjoy biking but found my posterior could only take 2 hrs. on the seat so got an electric bike to be able to cover more distance in the 2 hrs. Certainly can't work as hard or as long as I could 10 years ago, but then again, have no interest in doing so. Started planning and saving for retirement at 23 and it has worked out better than I planned. If being able to work hard at 80 is what you want, I wish you the best and enjoy. If being able to kick back and do things at a relaxed pace when and if you want (I helped my son build a 16x24 garage 5 years ago with the cement work), I hope your health and plan works our as well as mine.
