They're a good tractor... The 8x8 and 16x8 are both derivatives of the same just that one has dual power. Both are a syncro mechanical shuttle. Both are a joint development with Kubota. Parts for both are getting difficult and there is no direct cross to any Kubota parts. If it has the 8x2 crashbox... then that's a plain old Ford transmission that's basically bulletproof. Otherwise the tractor is a 4x00 derivative with a slightly detuned 201 or 192 engine. As a loader tractor they are light for the Ford loader they had spec'd. The MFWD will crumble if you don't keep good ballast on the back. The transmission is decent provided you don't force it while shifting as the syncro's are a bit sensitive. I've broken a couple syncro rings when someone didn't clutch while shifting... Otherwise it's a very capable 45hp tractor.
