12 speed overdrive automated manual transmission with a 410 detroit dd13. I've never driven that combo but have driven the Macks with the 12 speed m-drive. The only upside I find with the m-drive is that is has a second usable reverse ratio that you can select and use vs too slow and too fast in the conventional road ranger... otherwise, as far as I'm concerned the thing sucks. It doesn't take that much ability to out drive it with a conventional 13. On hills it's constantly hunting for gears. You can put them in manual mode and force shifts or hold gears but honestly I find that more difficult stabbing at buttons in the dark than just... imagine this... put the damn thing in gear and it stays there. In any situation I much prefer a 9/10/13 road ranger. If I had to, then an allison for vocational work. These automated manuals are intended to introduce the steering wheel to someone who should never hold one...
