Stephen: In the early 80's there was a family from Texas who rented a house next door to us for a few years. An engineering team from Celanese was up here building a new ethanol plant not too far away (it's been torn down since). Great guy, great family, he was into Texas history and belonged to several groups who focused on all of that, including newsletters and magazines which he passed along to me. I was amazed not only at how much history there was for the state, but how well preserved and abundant it was for the public to visit and enjoy. You should all be commended for keeping that alive, we could do a lot better up here for sure.
