I could use the top link pin to connect too but I prefer to use the built in lugs on the casing on both tractors.
The top pic shows the connection on those lugs on my MF202
The next pic shows the bottom of the chains hooked to my quick hitch lift pins but if you don't have quick hitches, you can connect right to the lift pins on the mower.
The bottom pic shows the connectors on the built in lugs for the chains.
