Hello Burl welcome to YT! Not sure what brand of injection pump you have but it sounds to me like it has issues and needs to be rebuilt. There is a poster on here that goes by Dieseltech, he runs a diesel injection pump shop in Indiana. He has posted in a post a few posts down I will link the discussion here. His email is open, I would suggest you contact him for help on your problem. To see the email button in the bottom of his reply you need to be logged in. Folks on here ship their pumps to him for repair. All I ever hear is responses of how reasonable his prices are and their satisfaction with the work.
