That earlier post of the grain binder brought back some memories. Does anyone know of a firm that can take a vhs tape that is kind of grainy and restore it? It was given to me years ago by a son of a guy that shot a lot of 8mm film. He copied this to the vhs. What's on it is the stacking of oats, 16 stacks to be exact, and since I was there doing it, I can tell you that, 7 bundles in a shock, 25 shocks on a wagon and 7 wagon loads to a stack. My mother's father, taught me as he was the only one that knew how or remembered. He was originally from Sask, and was in his late 80's when this was happening. The film then covers the threshing, 40 Mpls with wing feeders driven by our 28hp Mpls Canadian Speacial. 300' drive belt on it, as to pull between 8 stacks is pretty deep. There should be some film of the 30- 60 Aultman Taylor as well. That's what at 13-14 years old, and a younger brother did in the summer of 65. We did recruit some help,, mostly retired folks that we all knew. At the time it didn't seem that bad, probably cause thats all we knew.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
