I think both of you are right in the fact that the CK had the 4speed transmission with a high and low range giving it 8 speeds forward and 2 reverse then the western/standard model had the 6speed transmission with 1 reverse both were sold as a 930 case and both were sold about the same time frame. I don't know exact buld and sell dates. We had one of each the western 930 with the 6 speed and the 830 CK which had the 8 speed. The 830 was a row crop model and to be exact the 830 had 841 on the tage for a model number. Not sure what was on the 930 ,don't know that I ever saw a tag on it or looked for one. And the row crop model had the fill and check dipstick above the PTO on one side been 40 years since we had them so forget which side it was on. As for the western it was the plug/cap you saw on the left side under your PTO pivot lever in the first and second pictures. Again it has been about 40 years and it was not here as long as the 830 but I believe there was a short diptick on the bottom of that cap/plug. there was nothing wrong with that Chain driven axle set up would pull with any other model tractor it's size.
