There is a Liftall drive shaft between the transmission lower (counter) shaft, and the hydraulic pump. this short shaft has seals on both drive, and driven hubs (called nuts by IH) they are pretty easy to repair by removing the bolted on retainer, on the trans end, and similar task on the pump. Both drive hubs remove Lefty loosy. The rear one needs the tractor in high gear and blocked not to move. There is a 1/2 inch slot in the nut that takes a substantial piece of 1/2 inch steel strap about 2 ft long By 2 inches wide to fit the slot. (much force and impact are normal). The pump nut needs to have the pump out (heavy and awkward, help is good on a floor jack, with fittings/lever removed.) Using a piece of brass or aluminum stock in the intake hole to lock the gears of the pump, use the same bar to remove the drive flange. Replacement seals can be had from the numbers, Speedy sleeves may be needed if the nuts are grooved. Jim
