Hello SL welcome to YT! So which is it? In your other post about your governor you say the radiator DOES FLOW PROPERLY? What is telling you it is hot? Is it just the gauge telling you it is hot or is it boiling over and steaming? Just the gauge and no other symptoms you should get a hand held IR gun and see what that tells you the external temps show. If there is coolant being pushed out but the temp does not seem high do this. Run it up to operating temperature. Fill the radiator all the way to the top. Disconnect the fan belt and start it. If there is bubbling in the radiator almost immediately you likely have a bad head gasket. The bubbles are from compression being pushed into the cooling system.
