I really wish that people would stop throwing the word "banned" around so easily.
Incandescent lights were NOT "banned." If they had been "banned" then their sale, purchase, possession and use would be illegal, and the police would be knocking on your door to "take your bulbs."
You can still buy and use general-purpose incandescent bulbs until existing stocks run out. Last I knew, rough service incandescent bulbs are still produced and available, heat lamp bulbs are still produced and available and decorative incandescent bulbs are still produced and available.
How many bulbs do you go through? If you're going through more than a bulb a year heating a pump house or whatever you're heating, you need to find a more durable source of heat.
