You'll soon wonder how you managed without your smart phone. But, yes, they are a bit inconvenient to carry. I've tried all manner of holsters and belt clips, and every single one has failed me. The holsters tend to get snagged on stuff and ripped off. The clips break or pop loose. I've found my front left pocket works best for me, although I notice women often carry them in their back pockets.
The biggest problem I have from keeping my phone in my pocket is the charge port gets filled up with lint. The fix for this is to use a case that has a cover on the charge port. One such case is the Otterbox Commuter, which costs 40 bucks. The more expensive Otterbox Defender has a belt clip, which I find useless.
Don't carry anything hard in the pocket you carry your phone in, as it's likely to scratch the screen. You can buy screen protectors, but I find they crack so often they're not worth the aggravation of sending them in for replacement.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
