He ran it thru the 50'sand about 1967 bought a JD 25, Then traded that for JD 30 . As kids as Young as 11 ,We routinely rode the hitch in front of the grain tank, DANGER of any kind Never Bothered Us in the least . WE stood within arms reach of moving belts and pulleys and the risk of missing our step and falling thru.My Dad watched closely from the 430 CASE and warned Us every day about the dangers . We rarely went faster than a quick walk.. We would step off and step back on, providing Dad a hand sample of grain from the bin and handing him the threshed heads , At that point He would instruct us to Crank The cylinder speed alongside the tank 4 turns ot so .We never got hurt except for bustingour knukles working on the durn thing .
