70 years old and now it needs more/better oil.
Since the stuck valve is due to rust on the stem, how will more oil to the area help?
The oil gets scrapped off the stem when it runs.
Oil does not flow as soon as you turn it off.
So only the valves that were closed will maybe get some extra oil on them.
Buy a five gallon bucket of grease, pack the valve cover full and then squish the valve cover down and secure.
