Two evenings ago there was a small press conference in a soybean field in Iowa. A past Boss Hog was the center of attention at that conference. This was all farmers gathered except for ag press people and security people. They were all standing in front of a rather new looking 780 green combine with the engine off making conversation. The farmer said he had operated the grain cart tractor from inside the cab of this green combine all afternoon. The grain cart tractor had no driver. He had the computer software in the combine that allowed him to drive the grain cart tractor where he needed it . The Boss Hog asked him how long do you think it will be before every farmer will have this technology. The farmer said 10 years. It likely won't take that long for the B T O's to adopt this tech since it is on the market by some company's.
