Also make sure the clutch will stall the tractor in high gear when holding the brakes. if it does not, offer less, or have them replace the clutch. Look at the belts, both engine and mower. See if the engine oil is pretty clean. look for a date sticker, or etch on the battery for being less than 3 years old. Drive it and mow before purchase (important). Jim
