For a long, long time I used Firefox on my laptop as the default browser and it took forever (sometimes 6-7 minutes) to load up my GMail account every morning. I phoned our ISP about the issue and he himself (by remote control) did some changes and moved me over to Google Chrome. Ever since, my morning hook up is completed in about 30 seconds. Just my experience, I have no idea why it happened as it did.
