Back in the day when you were plowing your own, everybody else was plowing thier own also. Plowing somebody else's likely wouldn't of intrested them, and there for wouldn't of showed up if invited.
My renter don't ever plow. Thinking of taking it upon myself to atleast plow my terraces. They don't really need it, but I like the idea of having some of the ground plowed without having to do it all. The last time the terraces were plowed, the crop where plowed looked much much better. Not sure if extra yield payed for the plowing, but the yield had to be higher where plowed the way the crop looked. Might of been one of those years where plowing aided in no run off, and crop was dependant on sub-soil moisture. I don't know. On a different year, it might of made no difference.
