I am in the process of restoring a Cub also. I have rebuilt the pump and the control unit. I intend to use engine oil in mine just in case there is a leak into the crankcase. Even with all new seals and o-rings the basic parts are over 60 years old so the sealing surfaces are less than ideal. Now my Cub is going to be a Trailer Queen and will not see any more work than putting on the trailer and taking to a show so the touch control system will not see much use. I am going to put straight 30 weight in mine.
