There are always going to be people that will over bid land rent just to get it to work. We have had a few of them around here over the last 40 years, and all of them had auction sales except for one. He is in court trying to solve his problems yet. Not sure about anything more than that since he was into a lender from out of state and in for some real serious $ with law suits on it. Rented some of the ground around here for a year or 2 and now is being rented by another party for I have no idea but they seem to be going well with this being about their 4th or 5th year there now. They seem like pretty good guys from what I have met of them. they seem to be taking pretty good care of the ground too. I see they had some lime they spread on some of it this year. They run a batwing mower around the outside edges to keep the brush and trees in check also. I don't know where or just how they get the labor for it all but seem to. 3 trucks ,combine operator, chisel plow, and mower while still doing anything else they need. Looks like the drivers help with combine service in the morning blowing filters and such. As they get empty and back to the field.
